Suffolk Disabled Anglers' Forum

The Suffolk Disabled Anglers' Forum was set up by OPTUA, formerly Rethink Disability Leisure Project, The Environment Agency and The National Federation of Anglers. S.D.A.F. provides people wih disibilities access to fishing in a supported environment.

  • No experience necessary
  • Equipment can be borrowed
  • Bait can be arranged
  • Transport may be arranged, depending on location

Volunteers are available at each session to lend a hand with suitably trained and experienced angling coaches to offer advice on techniques and equipment.

Session Information

Sessions generally run 10am to 3pm, some sessions run into the evening
(These times are subject to change at the discretion of the co-ordinator)

The cost of freshwater days is £5, which includes bait and hire of equipment
Organised transport £5

The cost for Sea Fishing is £15 including bait and hire of equipment.
This covers fishing with one rod per person only.
Essential carer to pay £5 for transport.
Accessible transport may also be provided on first come first served basis

All payments due must be paid on day of session.

As this program is subject to change over the year, it is advisable to telephone the co-ordinator of the session the day before to check it is still on.
If you need to cancel your booking please give as much notice as possible.

We have a special agreement with the Environment Agency which allows newcomers to our freshwater fishing sessions 3 taster days before you need to purchase a Rod Licence.

Wanted: Voluteers for Sea and Freshwater fishing sessions.
Drivers also urgently needed.
